Results of strategic planning session

In September 2015, the Mary Pack Arthritis Program (MPAP) undertook a process to hear from our stakeholders, including rheumatologists in British Columbia, non-MPAP allied health professionals working at outpatient arthritis programs elsewhere in Vancouver Coastal Health, and MPAP staff from 4 sites in British Columbia.

While people with arthritis did not participate in this strategic planning session, prior to the meeting we heard from people with arthritis as to the barriers they face in accessing arthritis services in the province and what they most value in the arthritis care they receive. This information was gathered from interviews, a focus group, and a questionnaire. Data from all sources were summarized and presented to the strategic planning session attendees. The results from this survey can be found here.

Strategic planning session attendees then identified key directions for our program to focus on in the upcoming years based in part on the issues that were identified by people with arthritis (see the results below). We are now in the process of getting feedback from people with arthritis on these potential future directions. If you have thoughts that you would like to share, please email us at .
